CHRISTOPHER GLANVILLE R.W.A.

Christopher Glanville studied at Heatherley School of Fine Art from 1964 to 1965, Hammersmith College of Art 1966-67, Byam Shaw School of Drawing and Painting 1967-70 and the Royal Academy Schools from 1970 to 1973.  He was awarded the Sir David Murray Landscape Scholarship in 1970 and 1972 and the Sir Edwin Landseer Scholarship in 1971.  He has exhibited widely both in London and the provinces.  His paintings have been shown at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition almost every year since 1972.  Other exhibitions include the Royal West of England Academy, Bristol, New English Art Club, Bruton Gallery in Somerset, Clarendon Gallery, London, the Sinfield Gallery in Burford, Alresford Gallery amd Kaplan Gallery in London.  He was elected to the Council of the Royal West of England Academy in 1990 and became Executive Vice-President from 1993-97.  His work is in permanent collections at the Royal West of England Academy and Richmond Museum.
