Born in 1943 in Surrey, Timothy Easton studied painting at Kingston School of Art, following an early childhood ambition to be an artist.

He started working as a portrait painter and muralist and in 1968 started exhibiting, both in England and America.  From 1970 to the mid 1980s, he modeled a series of imaginative sculptures in bronze.  These were shown in various exhibitions in America, Germany, Luxembourg and London.

Having moved to Suffolk in the early seventies, the house, garden, the surrounding countryside and his cats gave added inspiration to his work.  Architectural forms are of particular interest and in Suffolk he found himself surrounded by them.  These often feature in his paintings.  For the past few years he has also been Resident Painter at Henley Royal Regatta.

Timothy exhibits regularly in mixed and solo exhibitions throughout the country, as well as in Europe and America.  His work is published widely and a book of his paintings was published in 1997.  In 1996 he was awarded a Churchill Travel Fellowship, which enabled him to study in Italy.
