BERRISFORD HILL
Born in 1930, Berrisford gained his degree in Fine Art following which he entered the teaching profession.  During his years as a schoolmaster he continued to paint and held a number of successful exhibitions.  It eventually became clear that with his growing enthusiasm for painting, teaching was becoming less important and he resigned some years ago to follow a full-time career as a painter.  Since then he has had considerable success with one-man exhibitions in England, France, Holland, Belgium, Germany and Ireland.

Berrisford Hill's interest in nature stems from his early childhood holidays in the country where he would closely observe animals in their natural habitat.

Working in oil, watercolour, acrylic or pastel, he captures the world in which his subjects live.  Studying the form and detail of the sporting and wildlife creatures in their natural environment gives his work conviction and a reality that many can identify with.

He has produced work for B.A.S.C., Game Conservancy, the World Pheasant Association and many other sporting and wildlife publications.  His work is collected internationally and is much enjoyed by private collectors.
